The day after the Pacific tour ended he met Abner — this tour's only rider — in Zihuatanejo on Friday December 8, 2000; they began cycling on the 10th and reached Puerto Escondido on December 19. Abner came back the following season, which made him ¡El Tour's first repeat rider, and he signed the eltour.itgo.com guestbook in 2001.
